I am only as young as the minute is full of it

Well, today is the last day of September and I just wanted to write something to mark the day. September was really generous to me, life really was good. My wishes came true easier than ever and it was just hard to believe it. I bought my dream bed, I had many great moments with friends, university work came kind of easy to handle and I grew to understand my family better. I can't believe that one out of three months of autumn is already over. It flew through really quickly but I don't remember another September that I enjoyed that much as I loved this one! Of course there were hard moments but hey, that's life. I really like to set my mind only on the good things and enjoy them with some beautiful music. That's why my last-day-of-September gift to you is this cool song! I've been obssesing over it for a week. Just can't stop playing/singing/humming it.
Happy monday!

September

This September was all about:
- My grandma's garden's treasures. I already ate all of these babies;
- Enjoying the warm weather and having a picknick out with Eglė at Bernardin gardens;
- Pumpkin muffins. When it's autumn I love everything that's from/with pumpkins. And I love muffins all the time. What could be a better mix?;
- Smoking hookah, drinking whiskey and listening to old records with close friends. Probably my favourite night from autumn;
- Partying with my rock'n'roll friends;
- Sparing some time from studies to watch some great movies;
- Watching through my bedroom window how autumn slowly takes over the weather and how everyday it gets more and more chilly;
- Resting my mind with some good books;
- Mushroom picking at the most beautiful forests and fishing at the deepest lakes with my dad (no matter what's the weather);
- Eating lots and lots of pumpkin soup that my mama cooked for me. And my mama surely cooks it best!;
- Hanging around the city with friends with beer/coffee/tea or just only their great company.
I hope September was good for you too.

Once upon a time there was Coco Chanel

Today I was reading a very nice blog by Nancy Wilde  and found that she shared this amazing video. Once I clicked 'play' I saw something incredible. I know it's not nice to copy the ideas from other people but I just had to share it! It gave me shivers just watching it.

Feed your hungry heart

It's finally friday. It's been a busy week but life's been good. Yesterday I had a picnic with my best friend at an awesome new park that just opened up in our city. This week I also returned to my dance class after not dancing the whole summer. I really enjoyed dancing again, until I tried it I didn't realize how much I missed it. My dance partner, on the other hand, isn't that sure that he wants to keep dancing and this makes me sad. It wouldn't be the same without him. But I hope for the best and pray that he will change his mind. In the mean time, I can't stop listening to this song. It 'feeds' my hungry heart and I hope it will do the same to yours.
Have a nice weekend!

Absolutely nothing

I'm currently reading a book called "the perks of being a wallflower'. Not long back I saw the movie made based on the book. I really liked it. So when I found out that my friend bought the book, I had to borrow it and read it! And what can I say? I'm enjoying every single little page in that book. It's sooo good. But I specifically like a poem that was included. I had to read it about 10 times 'till I got it and everytime I read it, I liked it even more.
Here it is:

Once on a yellow peice of paper with green lines
he wrote a poem
and he called it "chops"
because that was the name of his dog
and thats what it was all about
his teacher gave him an A
and a gold star
and his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts.
that was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
and he let them sing on the bus
and his little sister was born
with tiny nails and no hair
and his mother and father kissed alot
and the girl around the corner sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's
and he had to ask his father what the X's meant
and his father always tucked him in bed at night
and was always there to do it

once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
he wrote a poem
he called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
and that's what it was all about
and his teacher gave him an A
and asked him to write more clearly
and his mother never hung it on the kithcen door
beause of the new paint
and the kids told him
that Father Tracy smoked cigars
and left butts on the pews
and sometime they would burn holes
that was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames
and the girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see santa claus
and the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed alot
and his father never tucked him in bed at night
and his father got mad
when he cried for him to do it

once on a paper torn from his notebook
he wrote a poem
and he called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
and thats what it was all about
and his professor gave him an A
and a strange steady look
and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because he never showed her
that was the year Father Tracy died
and he forgot how the end
of the Apostles's Creed went
and he caught his sister
making out on the back porch
and his mother and father never kissed
or even talked
and the girl around the corner
wore too much make up
that made him cough when he kissed her
but he kissed her anyway
becuase it was the thing to do
and at 3 am he tucked himself into bed
his father snoring soundly

that's why on the back of a brown paper bag
he tried another poem
and he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
because that's what it was really all about
and he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist
and he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didnt think
he could reach the kitchen----

Motivation is the key

 Every once in a blue moon everyone needs motivation. No one is motivated by their thoughts all the time. Everyone wants to give up on their goal when things seems to be hard or so far away, when you feel like you and your plans are going nowhere. It's only natural to sometimes feel miserable and tired but don't give up! It's not only sports and being healthy, it's everything in your life. It may be your studies or projects, your blogging, your friendships or relationships - everything that need to be worked on. It's never worth giving up. Recently I've read a thought that I liked a lot - "never let the body tell the mind what to do". It's sooo true! the body is always tired, but only the mind can control even the body.

One week done, many to go

The first week of autumn and university is finally over! The first few days the weather screamed that "it's autumn! the summer's over!" cause it rained non stop and I even started thinking about finding my leather gloves in the wardrobe. But the second half of the week turned out to be surprisingly warm and sunny. So warm summery nights, when you can stay out, are not totally over. Too bad that I've already cought a cold! I'm drinking huge cups of tea with lemon and honey but my flu doesn't show any signs of vanishing. Not the best start into autumn, but no worries there. I just hope that I will recover at least a bit for todays music week concerts.
 1/2/3/4/Fishing trip with my dad. It rained almost all the time but we cought a lot of fish! // 5/ My biochemistry book. I studied at full speed this few days // 6/My 'healthy" tea cup. When I'm sick, I need to use thea heavy artillery.

Saying my last goodbyes

This is me remembering this past summer for the last time and saying my goodbyes till next year. So many different and beautiful memories, so many places visited and so many people hugged. I think it was the fastest summer I ever had but one of the bestest too.
